i just saw that movie with ed norton with him as a nazi dude
that movie made points for nazis and points for non-nazis,
but i think the nazi points were made way better so i wonder what the motive of this movie was

The last 30 minutes of Eraserhead. I also have to say the part in I Heart Huckabees where Jason Schwartzmann is sucking on Jude Law's nipple. That scene disturbed me hardcore.

I think "Pi" (3.1415) will twist your mind enough that you will forget the other names on this thread.

And grindhouse (part 1) will grind yo mind

I never could finish pi.

Tried to watch it 5 times Freshman year, and kept falling asleep. Finally I just gave up.

That's the only movie I've ever left feeling very uncomfortable. Plenty of movies have shocking violence or scenes made intentionally to be disturbing. Sure, Requiem for a Dream is a disturbing story, but I can still distance myself from it. I think Eternal Sunshine pokes at subconcious things that most of us really never want to deal with.

Cannibal Holocaust has 2 disturbing scenes, but far from a "mindfuck."

You could put irreversible up there with that. Because I don't know anybody with taste that would want to sit through that movie a 2nd time...

i dont understand if this thread is supposed to be movies that mess you up emotionally (like some of these sad/depressing movies) or ones that just show you fucked up stuff.

that being said, Hard Candy

btw, blue velvet sucked

The first time I watched Fight Club, it was 3am and I hadn't slept in quite some time. It fucked with me for a while after that, and I didn't understand what was going on even after a bunch of people tried explaining it to me. lolz

The Passion of the Christ

I felt uncomfortable leaving the theater. It was hard to watch on a few levels.
