http://blog.iblamethepatriarchy.com/Somebody posted a link to an entry from the blog - read through some of it. And some of you women wonder why TWW is sexist.

I liked what you had before the edit:

Yeah, that piece of shit definately should not set an example for women either, btw.We see someone eccentric or extreme and they're harder to forget than the normal folks, and sometimes we associate the normal ones with the extreme ones. So it goes either way, guys get sexist because they think we're a bunch of "Twisty Faster"s and women think men are a bunch of misogynist pigs after they happen to meet just one in the bunch.I mean, I met one. Hell, I banged one. But I didn't let him ruin my outlook on dudes, and they should not be convinced women are all the same either. Twisty Faster would like all women to take after her views obviously, whereas Sabir didn't give a shit what other men thought about him as long as he got him some pussy, but in the end we all want someone we can live with and will end up settling for someone who doesn't mind our genitalia.
3/16/2008 8:41:36 AM
so you're saying that Tdub's sexism is a REACTION to this woman's feminismand not, perhaps, the other way around?I think people like her are so extreme because dickholes like you wander about spouting off stupid shit all of the time without considering the implications of your thoughts, words and actions

3/16/2008 9:58:48 AM
you're rightyour forthcoming entrance into the military chain of command indicates to me that you have fully considered all of the aspects and implications of the relationships of power within our culture
3/16/2008 10:03:58 AM
no, I'm 20.but it's not human to be able to consider everything. But I'm leaps and bounds ahead of most 20 year olds.oh, and forthcoming? I've already been in the Navy for almost 4 years, so, I've had some time to learn how to make hard decisions, stand by what I've said, take the consequences of my actions, etc.
3/16/2008 10:07:01 AM
chembob I like how you're so proud to be a catholic and everything, but on here you have no problem throwing out the GDs and the JCs...I've seen that a lot from you lately
3/16/2008 10:08:27 AM
I'm a non-denominational Christian, sawahash. My mouth is a product of my environment. I am trying to work on it. But, when I go before God on Judgement Day, I know I'm saved and I'll stand by my actions and words, so I'm not too too worried about it.
3/16/2008 10:11:24 AM
I grew up Catholic... man what a nightmare that wasI believed in it for a long time with quite a bit of vigorbut then I started asking questions and nobody had any answers - the priest didn't even reprimand me for my lack of faith... though I did get like 10 Our Father's and half a dozen Hail Mary'she just dismissed me by saying that I was "too young" to worry about stuff like that
3/16/2008 10:12:25 AM
so you won't take responsiblity for the fact that you're the one throwing around that language and you blame it on your enviornment? So back when you gave me a hard time about drinking (which isn't a sin) I guess I can blame it on my environment and say that I'm working on changing that as I have a beer in my hand? It will make it all better?[Edited on March 16, 2008 at 10:16 AM. Reason : ]
3/16/2008 10:15:01 AM
oh, I should have been a little more clear. It's how you react to your environment that makes you who you are too. So I do take responsibility for my tonguehow long ago was that? I've changed a bit in the past couple years
3/16/2008 10:18:31 AM
This woman, like many others, is crazy.
3/16/2008 10:20:49 AM
^^^this was probably like a year and a half ago to two years. I remember things that people give me a hard time about So I'm guessing now you realize that drinking isn't as bad as you thought it was back then?[Edited on March 16, 2008 at 10:21 AM. Reason : ]

Now, I think I've read this before, and yes, she is certifiably nuts, BUT, the bit on retrieving her father's ashes is gold. And it doesn't mention the patriarchy at all.
3/16/2008 2:36:24 PM
she's a little heavy on the adjectivesbrevity is the soul of wit, angry blogger!
3/16/2008 3:12:59 PM
there was way too much for me to read on this page. although if i skimmed correctly i did find one phrase i'd like to throw into rotation"heterosexual boinking situation"it sort of blows my mind. maybe i'll stick it into the 20 page paper i'm writing JUST to see if anyone notices.[Edited on March 16, 2008 at 3:15 PM. 3/16/2008 10:20:26 PM

3/16/2008 10:33:26 PM
oh lord
3/16/2008 10:53:56 PM
^^wow
3/17/2008 5:47:02 AM
I love how everyone had a not optimal experience with the Catholic church and somehow that means that they now shouldn't give Christianity a chance.
3/17/2008 6:36:10 AM
what, you dont think that there are plenty of protestants that had a not so optimal experience with church, and have now blown off Christianity too?
3/17/2008 6:37:37 AM
oh, well, I'm not saying there aren'tbut the stereotype is Catholic [Edited on March 17, 2008 at 6:38 AM. Reason : .]

3/17/2008 6:54:13 AM
Wow, maybe I shouldn't have linked that article. I didn't think it'd get to the Chit Chat. It seemed appropriate enough for the Soap Box.Anyways, I strongly support Twisty and radical feminism.

3/17/2008 8:14:40 AM
where's StillFurshia for this?
3/17/2008 8:16:31 AM
^^you know, i don't agree with you on much, but i do agree with that.no, i'm not one for radical feminism, i'm not one for radical anything. but i am still an egalitarian at heart
3/17/2008 8:21:24 AM
People who speak out against oppression don't have to be polite or even fair. And do you not see the humor in the quoted bit about her father? Read the link. If necessary, read the Wiki article on understatement.
3/17/2008 8:29:23 AM
Oh, I'm sorry, I thought people had to have a little courtesy to be taken seriously.
3/17/2008 11:10:19 AM
Righteous indignation has a long history in politics and persuasion.
3/17/2008 11:25:58 AM
There's a difference between righteous indignation and vehement self-victimization and unopenness to any other views.e.g. MLK vs. Black Panthers.
3/17/2008 3:23:38 PM
someone sum up and what does this have to do with TWW?
3/17/2008 3:32:33 PM
not much, but what does?
3/17/2008 3:52:37 PM
