tired of having half of its money stolen to support Laquisha's coke habit
3/14/2008 1:05:20 AM
So we're moving up to a half now? For a long time, Mr. Schmoe could get away with a third as the accepted exaggeration, but since Bush lowered taxes, it seems like you fuckers have gotten even more greedy, bitching about this supposed half all the time. It's very ugly.
3/14/2008 1:09:57 AM
looking at my taxes, it's a half. don't lump me in with anyone else's statements, bridget.
3/14/2008 1:16:15 AM
In that case, I applaud you for your lack of greed. You're probably the only person in North Carolina paying half their money in taxes.
3/14/2008 1:31:28 AM
Haha, I live in SC
3/14/2008 1:32:07 AM
South Carolina, too.I thought you were gonna say you live in MA or NY or some shit.

That is a hard question, not one I'm completely comfortable with.I wonder if America has lost its soul? The 60s turned us away from the idealism of the 50s, and somewhat rightfully so, but I feel like we threw out the baby with the bathwater, and when we found the tub empty, we filled it up with whatever we could consume.I would like to say it is one of individualism, initative, and republican (little r) liberty. I'm afraid the 70s left us with a nihlisitc vaccum which has been filled with consumption.
3/14/2008 4:44:49 PM
^ I'm not comfortable with the question either. But GrumpyGOP's thread about patriotism led me to it, and made me wonder how others would answer.I'm not happy about mine, but it's as honest as it can be:Drunk.Disoriented.Proud.Simple.Incidentally, I find your analysis spot the fuck on.[Edited on March 14, 2008 at 8:57 PM. In theory, the American Soul represents selflessness filled with hope. In practice, it represents selfishness filled with indifference.

the SOUL of America is beign PERSECUTEDgood americans from sea to shining sea are being persecuted for their beliefs.yes, my brothers ... AMERICANS ARE PERSECUTED on a regular basiswhen we stand up and say that we want to protect the sanctity of marriage, the homosexuals try to smack us down, call us bigots, and PERSECUTE us for our RELIGIOUS BELIEFS.when we stand up and and say that we want to educate our children in God's laws, we are PERSECUTED FOR LOVING GOD, struck down by the local and state governments, we are called intolerant, and force our children to learn about gay sex and the lie that humans were not made in God's image, but decended from monkeyswhen we stand up and as that we are tired of working 12 hour days, 6 days a week, only to give our hard earned money to Laquisha and Tyrell so they can smoke crack all day and not work and have illegitimate babies, we are PERSECUTED for our beliefs, we are struck down and called RACISTS.wehn we stand up and say that we are tired of giving criminal immigrants immigrants like Jose a free ride to clog up our government, take our jobs, consume our resources, and be allowed to commit crimes without being punished, we are PERSECUTED for our LOVE OF AMERICA, and struck down as being immigrant-hatersare you TIRED of being PERSECUTED, my brothers?are you tired of being treated like a second-class citizen in your OWN COUNTRY?well, IT'S TIME to make a REAL CHANGEpaid for by the Republican National Committee.

3/15/2008 4:41:32 AM
And you would be wrong.I mean, this 1337 guy is talking about 20-25% in federal taxes. Please...Family of four making $75k/year was paying around 11% federal and 9% state/local in 2005.http://tinyurl.com/yvsekhNever mind that median household income is $45k, not 75.One third is an exaggeration. There's what people claim they pay and then what they actually pay.
