What can you do with these things anymore? Will a store like Eb still buy back old Sega/SNES/NES games?

Or is Goodwill pretty much my only option?

What about a place like Edward McKay's? I remember you could buy games from there a long time ago...is that still an option?

Check some of the local smaller video game stores.

I know Player's Choice in Winston has a selection of old games.

gamestop buys them but they hardly give you any money for them. But at least you could store credit toward your new games

I haven't been to Ed McKay's in a couple of years, but the last time I was there, they were still in the used software and game market. They'd been doing that since I was in high school over a decade ago...

For the pittance you'd get for them it's worth it to just hang on to them for your kids. You don't want your kids playing with the expensive stuff, the older stuff is more durable, if they do manage to break it, so what? A kid won't complain about the graphics, etc... until they get older.

eBay is probably the best place if you have some good games to sell.

The only places to sell anything that old are High Tech & Edward McKay's in Greensboro. Gamestop won't take back anything older than Gamecube/PS2/Xbox.

High Tech is on Battleground in the same shopping center as TJ Maxx.

In all honesty, I doubt any of you would want the games I would sell

I'm keeping the old games I love, it's the games that I hated that I have no reason to keep. A few off the top of my head were Fairy Tale (Sega), Decap Attach (Sega), Home Alone (SNES)...etc

Anyway, i'll post them soon to see if there is any interest, but i'm almost positive it'll be going to one of these places mentioned
