ive had it since tues and ive had 4 consecutive days of running a fever in the 102's-104's with today topping it off with 104.9.

not to mention its bronchitis-like symptoms and the fact that it may last 2 weeks

supposedly it started showing up in wake county the end of feb. so it pprob hasnt gotten around too much yet.. this is from the dr at wake med


also this is the first time ive been "not being able to go to work" sick in 2 years

My roommate had that. He didn't get it as bad as you did, but it looked pretty nasty. I got a flu shot and have an immune system so strong it killed off one of my organs, and in the past this has meant I don't have as many issues with getting sick.

Sure enough, as much as my roommate was making a mess of things with his nastiness, I didn't get sick. I wasn't practicing any special stay-clean antics either.

For those of you with dogshit immune systems though, I'd definitely stay away from the sick ones. This mess was a little worse than the last mess that went around (and I caught that one, lol).

I work in a doctors office and I know ALL about every illness going around. This week is actually the first week in about 3 that the bronchitis thing has been declining, so sit tight. And yes, I got it too, and yes, I'm on week 2 of it. But I still have to be at work dammit.

several people around work (in carrboro so still the triangle area) have been sick, some with flu like symptoms, and some who have family members with the flu.

I've had a fever twice in the past 5 days with a few joint aches during the fever, but otherwise have felt completely healthy for the days in between, and seem to be all better again. I don't know whats going on, but I think I'm over it now. I better be anyways, I'm going on vacation tomorrow.

You know those flu vaccine studies? I did one this year. I don't know if I'm allowed to post specifics, so I won't, but the end result is that I got a normal flu vaccine...and am getting paid for that, and letting them know if I get sick.

The only thing is...I doubt I'll get sick, because I am such a handwashing nazi, and I don't see many new people.

Now, if my roommate gets sick from one of his coworkers, I'm fucked like a prostitute, but otherwise...sometimes a very limited social life rules

I no longer really recall being sick because of the nighttime stuff. And it REALLY does make you feel better.
