I hadn't heard anything about this game up until just recently but it looks kind of like the Battlefield series meets Team Fortress. When it launches, it will be totally free to download and play, with fully customizable players and whatnot. It's due out this summer.Trailer: http://www.battlefield-heroes.com/videoOfficial Site: http://www.battlefield-heroes.com/

I'd imagine that's the way they'll do it, unless upgrades and dlc will cost you.Pretty big move for EA though. They're showing quite a bit of flexibility as a company with this.I will definitely check it out.

looks pretty cool. Like most EA games for me, I will probably play it for a while and then start to get pissed off at the hacking/glitches/bugs that EA takes forever to fix.

I've been playing this for about a week and I'm surprised, it's actually a lot of fun, especially for freejust a cartoonish, arcadey, simplified 1942and surprisingly buying funds really doesn't give that much of an advantage to those players, it's mostly for character customization

i love this game...paying money is only for getting clothes or getting 150% boosts to XP earned or VP earned (VP's are used to purchase some clothes and all weapons)honestly, i can't see why you'd need to buy a VP boost - I rack those things up like nobody's business even while constantly using widgets and weapons they buyXP boosts are nice, and after I hit lvl 20 on my soldier i got one for him as the 20-30 is a long hike...but it's only 50% more, so no big whoop anyway

yeah leveling starts to slow down a lot once you're in the teens, but I still probably won't spend money to speed it up any
