any of you gotten this to work successfully? i've googled, but since my roommate is the ubuntu guy (not a guru, just a regular user), i'm not sure if we're missing something...it plays DVDs just fine (actually what i bought it for, since it was only $50 with 6 HD-DVDs and i could use it pretty much straight out of the box in XP and vista), but we can't get it to work in mythbuntuthe mobo has the geforce 7100 and nforce 630i chipsets, which are HDCP compliant and we're pushing it through to the tv via a DVI-to-HDMI adapteroh, and we're running hardy alpha3 (works pretty well, actually)...suggestions?[Edited on March 5, 2008 at 1:58 PM. You need to install UDF 2.5 drivers. HD DVDs have a different file system.

^ for XP, yes...vista sees it by default...i saw that same thing, but i'll ask the roommate if he installed those drivers (though i'm pretty sure he did, since we talked about it)...i'm gonna feel quite stupid if it was a simple assumption on my part that made me ask this question

You said you were running it in Ubuntu. Ubuntu does not include these drivers by default for copyright reasons, though last I checked there was a tutorial specifically for getting the xbox 360 HD DVD drive to work in their wiki.
