send two copies of bill of sale and ask to have other returned.as soon as other one comes in signed. if you get it back at all that is. spend money sell car to other person. when they come after you for spending their money show bill of sale to them and say the company has shipped car already.
3/4/2008 12:07:58 PM
^shutup.i also learned it's illegal to ship human feces, fyi.
3/4/2008 12:10:48 PM
^^it doesn't matter. the bank doesn't give a shit what kind of bill of sale you have, they're going to get their money back (assuming it's a good enough fake to cash).[Edited on March 4, 2008 at 12:11 PM. Reason : .]

3/4/2008 12:17:13 PM
^^^ i wasnt serious. butthere has to be some kinda way to get them
3/4/2008 12:21:11 PM
Goddamn is there no way to rid you from this board? I thought you weren't ever coming back slowback96?Anyways, back on topic. If you take a check to a bank, you are physically claiming rights and responsibility of that check. If it comes back, the financial instituion is going to be coming to you. Of course, you then have the right to take it up with the remitter of the check and try to collect funds, however, you'll still have the bank asking YOU where's their money. Like BBR said, it doesn't matter if what you present to the teller came from your left pocket or right one. You gave them a check and if it comes back, you're the one who they'll come to fix it. I wouldn't bother playing around with a scam. Its like fire and you might get burned, imo.[Edited on March 4, 2008 at 12:36 PM. Reason : .]

tr00.

Your english is too good. In future emails, you should say things like "do not lay me to your swindle" so he can "learn".
3/4/2008 12:38:59 PM
I have had a couple of cars on craigslist over the years, and I got a bunch of these. I just sent them messages that said I only dealt with people who could write in coherent English and got some nasty replies back. You'd think that after as much publicity there has been about scams like this and all of the warnings on craigslist, nobody would fall for them anymore. They must, though or the guys wouldn't be in business anymore.
3/4/2008 6:22:40 PM
There have been two people I have dealt with lately who I swore HAD to be a scam. One was wasting my time, the other I sold a vehicle to. Both were legit people though.
3/4/2008 7:00:46 PM
i'm with ^^how the fuck do they not figure out if they just had decent english they'd fool waaaaaaaaaay more people
3/4/2008 7:02:35 PM
Actually, their english is improving, while the average actual American's is getting worse.
3/4/2008 7:08:51 PM
