Dear God evan, what the hell.

Your insecurity about the whole EMS thing was easy as fuck to see, and you made the mistake of CONSTANTLY talking about it in Chit Chat, which makes it really really easy for assholes like me to make fun of it who are tired of hearing about it.

What makes it even easier is that you are so full of yourself and it's highly entertaining to see you brought down a notch. Honestly, if something is bothering you THIS much, don't fucking share it with TWW and expect to get off easy.

pull a lady out of the driver seat of her car after she had a ball from a trailer hitch fall off a work truck and bury itself right between her eyes.

Pick up a 10 year old girl off the side of the road after she just got ran over by a car.

check out an xray of a small child that had it's neck internally decapitated because his mother didn't put the kid in a seat belt/car seat... Those airbags can do a lot of damage to a young child...


Those are just a few things I saw while a Paramedic. I could go into the stories of when I was a medic in the Army but those aren't as sad.


I was running codes when you were excited about getting your first pubes.

my worst call is not going to be the same as your worst call.

i'm sure that i'll have worse ones - i've only been doing this for 2 years now.

you can't tell me that codes are not stressful and that you're not affected by them at all.

even after all the codes i've run, it still bothers me at the end of the day if wasn't able to convert someone.

you've been a medic. you know what it's like. you know that the only reason people do this is because they truly love doing it. that being said, you should know how much i love doing it, and how much it tears me up that i wasn't able to do it for reasons beyond my control.

i'm working in EMS again, albeit not at cary (there were many other places that were more than willing to let me ride).

i'm simply asking you (and everyone else on here who brings stuff like this up in a negative context) to please stop insulting my skills and personality. it's really not necessary, and you have no grounds to justify the things you're saying. i hope you see that.

i was turning off the water to the house one time and a black widow crawled out from the water meter cover and onto hand while i was busy turning the valve.

i shook my hand so fast i think it was 100% sterile after i was done moving it.

one of my instructors in high school was an EMT (?) before he became a teacher...his first call was to a motorcycle accident where the guy was hit by a semi. they were picking up his limbs from all over the road.

another call was to a suicide scene where a guy had splattered his brains across the back wall with a shotgun and his job was to pick it all up.

he was an interesting character
