the bill is the part keeping me from partying.

i think about how fun it is to get drunk and listen to loud music... then i buy my own liquor/beer and stay home with my own playlist to avoid crazy charges.

i think i'm pretty damn smart.

haha.

eh

If I want to party, it's actually usually better for me to not do it on a weekend, due to my work schedules.

And...I used to be a partyhound, a long time ago, but recently, I've actually been avoiding parties. And alcohol. And going out of the house. I'm perfectly content being responsible and being a homebody.

I was totally expecting to spend a week or two sloshed last month, after the ex and I broke up...but he's been the one drinking

And there are other things to do. Like today: got up @ 7:30, went to the flea market to find some furniture, hit up some thrift stores. Then I worked 8.5hrs...and then I ran an errand, and I've been cleaning since 10:30. In a better version of today, I might have worked 12hrs, made more money, seen some friends, and gotten laid.

Your profile says you're a dude. What are you doing for a bar/club to be cheaper than buying your own liquor

I mean, I'd really like to understand how anyone can get as much pleasure / fun doing anything else other than guzzling drinks and partying on a weekend..,.. just what other thing would make you feel like you've had as much fun this weekend?

i feel like i've had a great weekend because i didn't spend as much money as i would have going out.

yeah, i drank a bunch. but a half gallon of vodka only costs 24 bucks whereas 4 shots at a bar would easily have cost that much. i think i got the better deal here.

i think life comes full circle

when u are under 21 u make the most of drinking at home or at peoples houses cuz its easer, then u hit21 and can go to bars and piss away everything you make for a few years, see the futility of it, and then hopefully meet someone that you would rather be drunk at home with instead of at the bars, then you once again make the best of driking at home which was much cheaper r to begin with

Don't worry, kid...in time, you'll understand.
Incessant partying loses its appeal eventually.

Don't get me wrong...I'll still get fucking wasted just for the hell of it, and I often have a blast...it's just not a given occurrence for a weekend night, nor is it a frequent event. I simply have better things to do.

That part is kind of nice.

I do like drinking with mcfluffle and elise though. We three are, sober, as outrageous and WEEEEEEEEEEEEE as most people are sober. It's a raging good time when we three are drunk

dont get me wrong, drinking/partying is fun. nothing wrong with that.

but its not the be all end all of having fun. i know im weird/not the norm, but i only like to do that a weekend or two a month.

^that first part pretty much sums it up.

^^me 2, but I'm just wondering if I'll ever get bored of going out and partying with friends.. we do hang out a lotta times at one of our houses,,,,, but it's never the same as hanging out in a club / pub with some loud music.

I mean you can have as much fun at your house the only thing missing is the random people. If you got the right crowd there it will be good times.

i can't remember the last time i went "out"... i have way more fun getting baked and cleaning the house or working on a painting, or playing skee ball.

i only drink when i'm depressed, and would rather do it at home where i'm safe and don't have a bunch of horny ass drunk dudes attempting to impress me with their axe body spray and taco bell breath.

Bars/parties are expensive, loud, and full of people whom I have no desire to talk to

I only go out every month or two...when the dullness and monotony of hanging out w/ the same people at the same residences week after week becomes unberaable

i party whenever i feel up for it...but i would rather party on friday and be hungover saturday, than party on saturday and be hungover sunday before having to go back to work on monday.

in other words, if i'm gonna lose a day to feeling like ass on the couch...i'd rather it be saturday, so i still have sunday to enjoy before the weekend is over.
