So, I've probably just missed hearing this before... but the NCSU Emergency system actually uses the Close Encounters of the Third Kind tones as it's call?

That's just bizarre.

I haven't seen it but it's in my pile of movies to watch. I was wondering what kinda emergency alarm tone that was though! Doesn't exactly scream "EMERGENCY!!"

Ah see I just thought there were hundreds of invisible trucks backing up in pseudo-unison (phasing.) Guess that means I don't have to lay off paint thinner.
