Sleep until I don't feel quite like I am going to die.

Then toast. Then water or Gatorade.

I have never had a hangover.

of course I didn't start drinking till I was 27.

That being said, when my friends had hangovers I hooked them up with a Goody's, Sweet Tea, and Gatorade / water.

Goody's helps kill the headache and the caffine in both the tea and Goody's picks you up, the rest is all about hydration.

Walk around(like a half mile or so) outside with a bottle of water. You'll feel worse than you did while you're doing it, but you'll feel a lot better when you're done.

water
coffee

That's assuming it's a hangover where I can keep down water. I hate the ones where a drink of water makes me puke, and I have to suck on ice cubes for 6hrs, just waiting to be able to fix it.

sleep helps.

I remember one hangover where I put ice in my cheek, laid down on my side, and went to sleep. got fluids without the nausea. And since it's a restless sleep, you're awake enough to realize you need another ice cube

Ginger and peppermint tea. I buy bulk herbs, so I've got this stuff around all the time. Pop a teaspoon full of each into your coffee maker, 2 cups of water, bam, settles your stomach and fixes your headache almost instantly.

Nothing is wrong with taking them. It's taking them while there is still a ton of alcohol in your system that's the problem. Well, mostly tylenol.

The best thing I've ever found is helping to prevent a hangover in the first place by drinking all the water/propel/gatorade/whatever that you can keep down without puking right before you go to bed while still drunk. Hopefully you don't piss yourself or anything but assuming you don't, you're far less likely to have to deal with a severe hangover at all.

[Edited on February 24, 2008 at 3:02 PM. Reason : ^unless you're doing it everyday for years it isn't going to matter.]

unless you have chronic hangovers from a chronic drinking problem begetting chronic liver damage, taking the reccomended dosage for acetaminaphen will not do your liver any additional harm.

medics & nurses know what's up... Despite my college career I'd never seen epic drinking like they do at the fire colleges and retreats... and then get up and be good as new in about 10 minutes the next day.]

its all about prevention.

take a multi vitamin an hour before you start drinking and before you pass out drink a glass full of water.

the hangover feeling is due to a lack of vitamins in the body... and dehydration.

I call that a 'piss alarm'

Wakes you up early to piss, and while you're up, chug another glass of water

I drink a lot of water. Lots.

Next day I'm usually just fine, but if not, a greasy fast food meal makes me feel better in no time.

I've only had three really bad hangovers
my 21st birthday
a night I drank by myself (that was more a function of being dehydrated before drinking than how much I drank)
exbf's cousin's wedding

The ride from peoria to chicago while so nauseated that ice chips make you wanna hurl is fucking hell.

But oh, white castle fixed everything once we were back to chicago.

That's a pretty awesome idea.

I don't get hangovers too bad...well, I haven't before. But it's usually just water water water water water water water water water water water... And repeat.

best cure = weed, water, aspirin, & sleep. in that order

2nd best (if you need to be sober and awake,) = food, water, aspirin, & caffeine

3rd best (let it ride) = stiff bloody mary, red beer, or an irish coffee

oh and,

anyone ever use, or know anyone to use, that otc product called "chaser"?

I'm assuming it doesn't work, cause no one ever seems to talk about it

Whole Foods brand (365) ginger ale. Works every time. I get up and drink a glass of it, then go back to sleep for an hour or so.
