I just turned on my tv today (I've had it like 2 years its always worked fine) and now the picture is stretching over the top and bottom of the screen by a few centimeters. Its enough to make you miss some things (like the espn bottom line) and piss me off considerably. Its a norwood LCD tv, I checked the settings and I haven't seen anything for size or stretch or anything. Anyone know what could be the problem?

my tv has a zoom feature that will stretch the image like that - double check for a setting

it's trashed. the lcd fluid contacts aren't syncing with the backlight.I'll buy it from you for $20 for parts.

If your TV's settings aren't wrong and you have a digital cable box it could be that doing it was well. For TWC's crap, hit the # key on the remote.

TV settings all appear to be the same as before. And I don't have TWC, I have charter - no seperate remote.

just to be sure... you checked the aspect ratio on both the tv and the cable box? Perhaps stating the obvious: One will be in the tv menu/settings and the other will be in that of the cable box.

yeah, i almost guarantee thats the problem

I don't have a cable box.

you dont have to have a cable box to have a fucking aspect ratio button or command somewhere

Yeah there isn't an aspect ratio command on the tv or the remote. I've looked through the entire menu and tried every button.

what kind of tv? model number of the remote?

After leaving it off all night I turned it on this morning to find it back to normal. Woo!
