i want to copy a figure to use in a paper and when i copy it it goes to the clipboard... where is the clipboard?

uhm...just hit ctrl-v in word or whatever you're using.

what about text... i got it to copy images now, but i don't see a select text tool, ^ thanks for the help

adobe reader does that on purpose, if i'm not mistaken

try harder at selecting text

Tools->Basic->Selection->select text
