in all honesty, here's what i'd do:

give a few million to the wolfpack club to ensure good seats, see if i can get something named for my grandfather.
buy a condo in raleigh and a condo somewhere up north... philadelphia or chicago are good choices.
spend sports seasons in raleigh, summer in the north.
and of course, never work.

Buy about 3 million dollars worth of cool shit and build my dream home, set up a college fund for my family (cousins, nieces, nephews, etc.) and turn the rest over to a couple of different financial planners so I'd never have to worry about money. I'd probably open some kind of sandwich shop or bar that would be open limited hours so I'd have something to do, the rest of my time would be spent doing whatever the fuck I felt like doing at the moment.

for real:

i'd put 5 million in a money market account for semi-easy access that still earns SOME interest to blow on impulse purchases

2-3 million for an awesome house

the rest would be invested with the help of a financial planner, and i'd live off of the interest/net gains, never having to work again.

shit, i'd be happy with 10 million.
