I want to pick up my package before they attempt to deliver it, because it is addressed to the wrong address. Therefore, I'd like to pick it up before they make a delivery attempt. The ups website doesn't have any information on this. Anyone know the proper protocol? Thx.

it's a fucking pain in the ass. I got my 22" monitor delivered here. It was annoying as hell. they have to attempt to deliver it and then you can go pick it up. I had bitch at them so hard and tell them if they left it at my door in my neighborhood it would probably get stolen and I would hold them responsible since I warned them, that made them let me pick it up.[Edited on February 16, 2008 at 11:04 AM. If it's not too late, the sender can require a signature. That way you'll either have to be home or go pick it up.

it going to be difficult, the only time they can get to your package is when the sort is running and then that involves someone standing at the trailer as they're unloading/loading looking for that exact package.

just call one of the numbers listed and ask your question, if they can't answer they will probably transfer you (omg technology) or direct you to the correct number. problem solved.

if you go to the ups hub on atlantic avenue (between new hope church road and millbrook) with the tracking number and proof of who you are they will let you pick it up there. you just have to sit in the parking lot and wait for them to find it. of course, it would help if you show up at the hub on the day its supposed to be there. call the hiring department and they will get you to the right place: (919) 790-5165
