I don't know how much of an impact this has on other major sports (all I remember is us playing basketball against Guelph lol), but at the very least it's going to have major implications for NCAA hockey.http://www.southbendtribune.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080215/SPORTS13/802150451

2/15/2008 3:52:38 PM
Maybe those fuckers will finally have to play football on a field with the right dimensions.
2/15/2008 4:44:16 PM

2/15/2008 4:46:40 PM

2/15/2008 4:51:36 PM

this might affect hockey and (if mexican universities join the ncaa) soccerbut it wont affect football or basketball so who really gives a shit[Edited on February 15, 2008 at 5:18 PM. Reason : also you wouldnt see oregon state or unc in the college world series...todos los equipos mexicanos]
2/15/2008 5:17:38 PM
I went to a UCLA vs. Monterrey Tech game in 2004
2/15/2008 5:26:07 PM
lmao in ncaa football a few years ago i created a bunch of schools and replaced the sun belt with them and put them all in canada (to not really mess up any real schools local recruiting and 3 of the teams ended up being top 10 almost every year.
2/15/2008 5:29:14 PM
Canadians play football with 12 men on the field too. And wtf is up with the goal posts being right at the goal line? I thought all the people running into them is why we (Americans) moved the goal posts behind the endzone.
2/15/2008 5:38:04 PM
from that graphic, it looks like the goal posts are planted at about the goal line, and then hang over to boot.WEIRD.
2/15/2008 6:06:09 PM
so are they going to start calling it the Bi-National College Athletics Association?
2/15/2008 6:46:35 PM
they'll just call in the IN-CAA, which is pronounced the same as NCAA in some parts of the country.
2/15/2008 9:33:25 PM
2/15/2008 9:38:30 PM
^ what's the umm... all about? it's true Canadian football has each team play with 12 players on the field unlike American football where we play with 11 players.
2/15/2008 10:00:11 PM
GUELPH!
2/15/2008 10:05:53 PM

2/15/2008 10:12:35 PM
i've always wondered why the NHL was acceptable since it's not just one nation.
2/15/2008 10:26:49 PM
National Basketball Assoc.National Hockey Leaguethey're all just names. no real context. I mean come on we have the WORLD SERIES, and only 3 countries can at most participate. 2 of them has only 1 team. it will stay NCAA and I think this is awesome. maybe NCAA hockey will finally get some damn attention.[Edited on February 15, 2008 at 10:34 PM. Reason : goddamnit]
2/15/2008 10:34:17 PM
whats the 3rd country?
