You know what I'm talking about, the ones where you're rocking out going 45, but as soon as you stop at a light, you turn it down so no one else hears you listening to it.

Mine: Gwen Stefani - Sweet Escape

I turn it up

but there's a strong possibility that "it" is piano jazz or public radio or something

I'm not worried because I don't listen to awful music

^^ I like to think I've got pretty good taste in music, but once in a while a crappy pop song will grab me and I'll be addicted to it for a week or two.

I usually turn my music down at stoplights just because no-one else wants to hear what I'm listening to. I swear, when I see one of those fuckers who mounts speakers under their car so everyone else has to listen to their shit, I just pray for a stray 18-wheeler to take them out.

I crank Iron Maiden at lights.

Usually if everyone in the truck is singing as bad as me, we're loud enough and don't have to turn up the volume.

^ you're the kind of person whose car I'd love to see struck by an errant anvil that fell out of a passing FedEx airplane.

but seriously, two things

1.
Quote :

i would think most people think they dont listen to awful music, but that doesnt mean other people dont think its awful

and 2. i've also been in a parking lot with music moderately loud, and had some complete retards just walk out in front of your car but since they hear the music they're like "oh there is a car maybe i should pay attention to where i'm walking"
