I've been stocking up on these the past couple months because they have been so hard to find. If you want wavebirds they are about impossible to find now. It will be even harder come next month because the smash bros. brawl fans are going to grab up all the remaining nintendo branded gamecube controllers.[Edited on February 11, 2008 at 10:55 PM. Yeah that's why I got my Wavebird when I got my Wii, I knew they would be in high demand once smash comes out.

ive never tried those, they look really huge compared to the regular controllers

no, they just got a little bit extra plastic at the bottom because of the AA batteries in the back. It weighs slightly more, but I like that. I hate controllers that are too light (feels like they'll fly out my hands). Also note, Wavebirds don't have rumble. Also consider getting extension cables, I"ve found the gamecube controller is way too short. Almost pulled my wii off the counter a few times.

I had to order the extenders on ebay. It was 10 bucks for four of them.
