i live in lake park and each room is leased individually but of course theres common areas. they came in the other day and after calling me a filthy individual the leasing agent told me they'd be coming to clean the apartment so get as much of my stuff together as possible. so i move most of stuff into my room but f course can't fit couches etc. in there. i just got home and they apparently threw away my trashcan, a box of wires i had on the back porch and a few other things. what are my chances of getting them to pay for the stuff they threw away/took?(*i'm so sick of lake park i'm out the second my lease is up so skip the lake park jokes )

fuck that place, and fuck wpm. they won't let you use the extra rooms since you pay by the room, not by the apartment. we used to use the extra bathroom until they came and locked us out of the 4th room. they suck! and just wait until you move out and try to get your security deposit back. hah.

first start by telling them what happened and seeing what their response is

^ And if that doesn't work, take em to court. You can probably scare them into just cutting you a check before even getting there.[Edited on January 31, 2008 at 10:09 PM. Reason : -]

I mean, who keeps boxes of wires on their back porch? I can see why you are pissed, but if you keep your apartment like a slob and they are responsible for finding occupants for the extra rooms what are they supposed to do?

i understand their standpoint too , i'm just not happy with the way they handled it. call and say "hey can u tiddy up we need to show the apt?" not " hey your apt is disgusting, we're coming tomorrow to throw away things that we think is trash "[Edited on February 1, 2008 at 8:45 PM. Reason : .]

I successfully sued their asses over a security deposit ~2 years ago, they were not at all concerned with threats of a lawsuit.. take pictures of shit when you move out etc etcfucking assholes

anyone renting w/ wpm make sure you give them 2 months notice in writing that you're moving out, or they automatically extend your lease for your entire lease term (in my case 12 months)if you don't give them notice and they extend it there's nothing you can do about it (i talked to like 3 lawyers) and they won't work with you at all. happened to me and my roomate and it was a major pain in the ass and $$$ to find somebody to take over our leases
