[ link ] [ /link ] is horribly outdated. It doesn't allow for creativity in link presentation (i.e. google.com has to look like http://www.google.com and nothing else). In addition, super long links either have to be tiny url'd or they just stretch across the screen.Most message boards now have the following:[url=http://blahblah.website]this is my url[/url] which would come out looking like this: this is my urlFor example, and to kill the thread, let's say I wanted to link to a driving route. Normally on TWW I would have to say:

I don't see a pressing need for html style links or auto tinyurl links, but link shortening to prevent super wides pages would be nice.
