1/28/2008 10:23:25 AM

i can see how it would be hard not to.if my pregnant wife asks me to make a late night run to taco bell you can damn sure i'm gonna get a cheesy gordita crunch and large baja blast for myself.
1/28/2008 10:30:27 AM

1/28/2008 10:34:04 AM
man, now you have to go to a 30 in. belt!!! Is that better, pilgrimshoes?[Edited on January 28, 2008 at 10:37 AM. Reason : in.]
1/28/2008 10:36:23 AM
30"? that's still very tiny. mine's close to 38" probably

1/28/2008 10:41:26 AM
I was telling him that 30-32 is perfect. He has a small waist and thick thighs-I'll biiiiiiiite em!!
1/28/2008 10:41:46 AM
My primary belt for jeans is one of those that has the holes all the way around the waist. So i don't notice the countdown (7, 6, 5...) [Edited on January 28, 2008 at 10:47 AM. Reason : sorry joen00mbers]
1/28/2008 10:42:12 AM

1/28/2008 10:44:52 AM

1/28/2008 10:45:05 AM
1/28/2008 10:46:38 AM
1/28/2008 10:47:00 AM
technically joe, it could be a waste since its nothing but excess around there
1/28/2008 10:47:43 AM
good point.
1/28/2008 10:47:57 AM
biiiiiiite
1/28/2008 10:49:35 AM
I went from 46 in. waste to 34 in. like a year....but I ran it off....nothing else worked
1/28/2008 10:50:44 AM
1/28/2008 10:50:51 AM
I think I'm going to have to buy kid's belts. I always get the smallest possible belt and sometimes have to make an extra hole so my belt doesn't come off.
1/28/2008 10:51:12 AM
how tall are you?
1/28/2008 10:52:47 AM
4'10" probably ]
1/28/2008 10:55:00 AM

^^I've seen proof with my own to eyes of the appalachian trail dietThe guy in this picture did it a couple years ago. and now i actually have that shirt from that picture
1/28/2008 11:42:33 AM
well hell, rigorous hiking is like 500cals/hr
1/28/2008 11:49:50 AM
yeah, the results were pretty amazing.
1/28/2008 11:52:09 AM
i'm on the last notch, toobut on the good side but i'm losing weight due to stress and depression
1/28/2008 11:55:21 AM
i'm starting to really get into it more againi'm so out of shape and fat now though, i only make a few mile clip at a time.been taking my dog too, so it wears her out.we only did 8 miles yesterday, and as of this morning when i left for work, I dont think she had stood up off her bed yet except to go out or eat since we got back before i went to texas, ive been trying to ramp up weekends, in hopes of really cranking up when it gets warmer.there's a trail that passes by ~0.5 miles from where i live now, that goes ~45 miles through DE state parks... so we've been going a ways, then turning around.. it's been nice.
1/28/2008 11:56:25 AM
i just can't run. i run flat footed which ends up fatiguing my shins and knees pretty early. it sucks, cause i wouldn't mind jogging but (insert you're doing it wrong picture here)
1/28/2008 11:59:25 AM
i'm the same way.
1/28/2008 12:02:44 PM
^i have that same problem (flat feet)still have to run for the Navy
1/28/2008 12:03:49 PM
For anyone into hiking there are several trails in the ~6 mile range at Umstead Park and around Falls Lake that can be done in a couple of hours walking or even less jogging. This area really has a lot of nice things to do outdoors as long as you have transportation to get there.
1/28/2008 12:13:03 PM
1/28/2008 12:39:54 PM
trust me, I know.I wear orthotics, but it also affects my run. so yes, i run flat footed
1/28/2008 12:44:23 PM
Everything hurts the first time you are doing. Just run more Jesse.. your shins and ankles will get used to it.
1/28/2008 12:47:29 PM
the only people i know who talk about how bad running is are the people who dont run everyday and/or who are overweight which causes it to be painfulI've talked with doctors, nurses, orthopedic surgeons and Physical Therapists (along with endurance runners) and the bottom line is if you run frequently with good form/technique and keep your weight down (which should come down anyway) then its actually more good than bad for you...i hurt in my knees and ankles when i was 260 lbs so i would just take it easy a day and a little harder the next, according to what my body was telling me...just be smart and take it easy....you don't turn into uberman overnight....btw, it took a good year and 3 months to get down to my current weight of 175 lbs....consistency is keyi have been blessed with good health for the last year and a half and i've taken my mile times (per mile on a 3 mile course) down to sub 6 minutes. It took a while and alot of days off to stretch and easyrun but it pays off in the end...believe me[Edited on January 28, 2008 at 1:01 PM. I have one belt like that. It takes me a minute to remember that I had to buy a smaller size than normal, to get it.Sprints are where it's at for running,.[Edited on January 28, 2008 at 1:03 PM. Reason : ]

1/28/2008 1:01:47 PM
You'll understand when you buy a belt that didn't come from Wal-Mart.
1/28/2008 1:47:28 PM
WALMART IS THE ONLY STORE THAT SELLS WOVEN BELTS
1/28/2008 1:54:46 PM
