In response to some queries: Got in late 2001, used as a bedroom tv for 2yrs (so less than our main tv), then it was stored at my parents house for a year. Its still a Sony, in good condition and works fine. I had the 5 yr maintance agreement with sears and they came out a few times for annual check ups. I got an extra remote out of them once when I thought I lost mine. I've had to haul this heavy thing around a few times and thats worth something to me. I think the tv sold for 900-1000 and then the tv stand was 200 or so. I'll keep on entertaining offers and if I like one I'll sell it.

Then go sell that shit on Craigslist. Ain't nobody hear paying that much when they could buy a real fucking HD-TV for not much more money. And this coming from somebody else with a WEGA. Its a great TV, but its still fucking old dude.

I recently sold the exact tv to a buddy of mine, but I bought my in Jan 2003 for $75. I also had an extended warranty. I have never heard of Sears doing any "check ups" on a TV that doesn't have any problems...therefore I call Bull Shit.

$90 assuming i like it when i check it out

^^ its called "Preventative Maintenance" with Sear's Home Maintenance Agreement, they came in, took the back off, dusted, ran some diagnostics, reset the picture, etc. Call em.
