I wish i I had duck feet
And I can tell you why
You can splash around in duck feet
You don't have to keep them dry

I would be very surprised if Whole Foods didn't have it. I'm pretty sure that I've seen it there before.

They've honestly got a really great butcher section there. Probably my favorite in town ahead of Fresh Market.

I avoid the Asia Market because it has the scariest parking lot ever. Buncha old asian women trying to back out of parking spacing using only their rearview mirror.

man i worked at the fresh market during my true freshman year at ncsu. in the meat department and in the deli. never once saw a duck. cut up tons of chickens though. and sliced lots of meat.

i guess they have them now. who else said they worked there 10 years ago, remember DAN THOMAS, i think his name was?

chickenhead was like the cashier manager there, im sure she knows who im talking about. and all the little high school hos that worked there. that was back when people thought you were cool just cause you were in college. weird.

^ I was by there the other day (going over to the Natural Science Center to see about a job when I graduate). I'm from that side of Greensboro (well, lived there till I was 4, have lots of friends/family out that way, and spent a lot of time there). My Daddy grew up on Lawndale. Anyways, I remember going there on a field trip in preschool. That was 17 years ago.

Also, what is so about duck eggs?

Foie Gras should not be illegal. All that needs to be illegal are excessive forced-feeding fattening methods (hell, even then this method is only done the last two weeks of their life). The fatty liver can be achieved naturally too (they fatten up for migration).

jackleg, TFM doesn't process the duck (it is in the shipped vacuum-wrap).

Yeah but those methods are what define "foie gras". If such methods become illegal, then all you will have is

"Duck liver"

or

"Goose liver".

So yes, foie gras should be illegal.

^^
uh, not really
Quote :
"Fifteen countries have laws prohibiting foie gras production on ethical grounds, and, in 2004, California passed the first U.S. law to end the production and sale of foie gras in the state. A Zogby poll conducted in September 2005 revealed 79 percent of likely voters in Illinois agree that foie gras production should be outlawed.[The Chicago ban took effect in 2007, but chefs are fighting it.]"

despite the objections of the [loser] big 'L' libertarians (the anthropocentric ones) these bans may survive

I hope ^^you're not one of those all-too-common anthropocentric food pornographers

by which I mean, one whom places human interests, primarily taste and pleasure, as paramount in the culinary arts

and not human, animal, or ecological health, sustainability, or well-being, as it should be

They may not have it now, but they definitely used to have a selection of it. I pondered trying it once or twice, but it disgusts more than other similarly creepy foods.

Foie gras is only illegal in Chicago as far as I know.
