In the sense that a stable parental relationship is important to child development, then yes it is more important than ones life, love, and liberty. That is part of the agreement you make when you breed.

There's nothing wrong with being celebate, but if you marry someone who assumes that you will continue having sex with them after marriage, then you stop because you don't enjoy it any more, and you plan to not ever have sex for the next 10 years and then leave his ass, and don't tell him about your plan, that's a pretty cold hearted thing to do.

And men have different hormones than women, you can believe differently all you want, but it would be much more difficult for men leading a sexless life.
