while queuing (lol english people) at the checkout the grocery manager runs up to the service desk and was all like "I CUT MY ARM ON SOME SPAGHETTI SAUCE"

and she's like

bleeding all over the place

so i'm all "ILL HELP YOU"

i ran out to my car and grabbed my med bag

came back, cleaned it up, stuck a 4x4 and some kling on it

I SAVED THE DAY

rofl no, that will not kill you (most likely)
if it does anything your blood will form a clot somewhere on it before it gets to your heart... which is indeed dangerous
but it's pretty unlikely

its like people freaking out about getting air in their veins when they get IVs and injections and whatnot... you can get like 10ccs of air in you before it starts to cause embolists and whatnot... there are only 8ccs of air in a standard IV administration set... you're good.

the deal about my accident?

the head didnt really go through the windshield (completely). it just went into it and broke the glass pretty good, and the bleeding started fast enough to actually leave blood in the cracks of the glass. so i guess my head busted the glass then moved enough to rub my head across/into it. i had tons and tons of tiny scratches, and also a bunch of what i'd call medium sized cuts. then i had a few big time deep cuts and i was bleeding like shit.

it looked a lot worse than it was just because it was my face all dripping blood. then the ambulance kidnapped me and took me to the hospital where a nurse wiped it while a doctor pulled the glass out of the big spots and glued them closed. then the nurse sat there for fucking ever pulling glass out of my face, tiny tiny spots. even a few months later i could feel little bumps on my forehead, and i could scratch at them with my nail and make the glass cut its way out of the healed cuts.

it hurt like hell for a few days. but the healing was pretty fast, except the bigger cuts. that day i looked like shit, a few days later 80% of it was almost gone, then within a month or so there was no visible evidence of it. but like i said they missed a decent amount of glass, which i forced myself to stop pulling cause it was a nasty habit it kinda felt good/neat
