i wish i still had 10.4.leopard is buggy as hell. can't wait for the 10.5.2 update.
1/16/2008 12:03:13 PM
yeah i want to downgrade when is 10.5.2 supposed to be out?
1/16/2008 12:05:07 PM
i read last week on some digg article/blog/whatever that it was pre-released to developers or something to that effect, and it would be out to us civilians around the end of the month. it's gonna be around 350MBs from what i remember reading. hopefully they'll fix a lot of shit.

ooohso it should be avail. on ADC?didn't think of that for some reason... i'm bout to log in now...

If you don't mind me asking - what is buggy for you? All of my issues were fixed with the first update.

my bluetooth devices (keyboard and mouse) randomly dissociate and i have to disable bluetooth, turn off the mouse and/or keyboard, re-enable bluetooth, and turn the mouse/keyboard back onwireless with 802.1x PEAP and EAPfast drop off every 10 minutes. when i'm at work, it's not even usable.mail.app started doing this thing where sometimes the preview pane stops working, and i have to kill it and relaunch.MSoffice 2004 works sometimes. if i launch excel, ppt, word it will either open whatever doc i want to read/edit, or it might decide that i need to go through the installation wizard again, which if i click any of the buttons, the app just freezes and i have to force quit it. Only workaround is to restart the machine, and it's good for opening maybe three docs before i have to do it all over again. these are just the most pervasive/annoying ones, but there have been plenty of one-off issues that required relaunching an app, or restarting my machine. All of it started after installing leopard (and I did a clean install).

Now that you mention it, I have had the issue of my bluetooth keyboard and mouse getting really slow and sluggish but never to the point to where I have had to reconnect.

so I hacked my appletv, but 1ghz 2mb 400mhz fsb p-M, 256mb ram, and 64mb go7400 still cannot play back x264 mkv's well. not sure if I'm gonna keep it or sell it. I was looking for something better than my original xbox + xbmc, looks like I'm looking elsewhere

my guess is that they don't do a lot of regression testing on G4 platforms. most people I know on the new intel machines have few to no problems.

heh, i'd widen that operating life to '08. my powerbook G4 is still going strong!at least it was until leopard. if 10.5.2 doesn't make life easier, i'm going back to tiger.

i'd go back if you're on old hardware. i wouldn't put vista on a 5+ year old machine either. that changes everything
