I have to admit, there is nothing scarier (at least so far in my life) than a tornado siren when the sky's black and grey. And you don't know which way the wind should be blowing.

Mississippi ftw

In all seriousness, good thing you're not dead. I'll be in Alabama later this year and I'll be going to Starkville if they have the festival again.

haha! thanks man.

i'm glad to see however I got to give you all an excuse to sing

but this thing would have landed right on us if it started up maybe 5 minutes earlier. needless to say, when all was clear, I couldn't believe we dodged in the city of Starkville. 2nd tornado warning in 3-4 days.

I lived in Kansas for a year after college... heard tornado sirens all the time and when the sky is a dark, looming green, you're scared as shit. Then it hails like there is no tomorrow. I never actually saw one though.

I have been within rock throwing distance of at least 3 in my lifetime. One cut through my front yard, one down the street and cut across, and one fucked up a mall. None of these were any crazy F5's or anything but watching one snap a tree like a toothpick is kinda fun.

^^where in kansas?

I'm from Benton and there really isn't anything more scary than a tornado siren or actually seeing one out there

yeah

how about the one that missed my house by <0.25mi

and the one that fucking picked up its track across the highway and set back down in the field next to where I was living at the time. Crazy Baptist houseparents preached at us for weeks that it was God telling us to behave.

?

Both in NC.

I want to actually have a tornado pass over where I'm staying...not an F5 for sure, but maybe up to an F3...and not in the house I live in.

Why I want to live in the midwest
