I was just gonna go see my friend in Brooklyn (they have flights to Newburgh, NY and I'm sure I could get a train from there)

be wary of where these flights are ACTUALLY going

NY is Newburgh, NY
LA is Burbank, CA
Boston is actually Portsmouth, NH
New Orleans is Gulfport-Biloxi, MS

so a lot of these trips are going to require secondary travel that reduces some of these savings
but if you're already renting a car this makes more sense

i wanted to go to seattle sometime in spring, but skybus said their flights there from gboro are temporarily on hold due to fuel costs

well it depends on where you're going and when you book it (like all airlines)

flights to LA were like $100-120
I didn't see anything near $200

my mom also told me that they charge for food and drinks on the plane, and won't let you bring your own on either....i don't see how they could regulate someone from bringing on a bottle of water though.....

yeah, i was just thinking about how this summer, i unfortunately had to fly when i was sick, and i kept having to buy $5 bottle of waters after i got through secuirty because i was dehydrated. i'd be mad if i had to throw those out before i got on the plane. so if you medically need the water, they shouldn't be able to deny that to you....

yeah i saw someone doing it right after the restrictions went into place, and haven't not done it since.

So they say nothing about drinks; my answer for the 'you can't have any if there's not enough for everyone else' has always been 'they can have some, but they may not want it' (specifically, a teacher harping about me bringing coffee to class...I'm happy to share, but you never stipulated everyone was entitled to a full cup. Everyone's welcome to a sip, but they aren't drinking from my cup). I'd bring some cheezeits or something, and everyone can have 1 or 2. That's enough for everyone.

I've never heard of Skybus before in my life.



And a note about the L.A. flight actually going to Burbank. Unless you're planning on going to the south bay (Manhattan, Hermosa Beach etc) you're 10 times better off going to Burbank. More than 10, like 30 times.
