tell them you are going to cancel your internet subscription
1/8/2008 12:14:56 PM
Excuse me, but I am on tdub...
1/8/2008 12:15:23 PM
By "some creep" do you mean just a skeevy looking guy, or did he do/say something inappropriate?
1/8/2008 12:16:29 PM
can you ask them if you can pick up the equipment at their office?
1/8/2008 12:16:42 PM
speaking of time warner, what's the secret phone number to call them at that isn't constantly busyi need to switch the name on the service to my own
1/8/2008 12:17:40 PM
^you can't do that over the phone. you have to go to their office.
1/8/2008 12:25:39 PM
shit bagsdoes the former owner have to go with me?
1/8/2008 12:32:48 PM
^ they have to cancel their account and return all the equipment first
1/8/2008 12:34:56 PM
fuck thati'll just keep paying it online and keep it in his name
1/8/2008 12:35:26 PM
theres a reason for the bulletproof glass partitions at the office, sometimes you just feel the need to choke a bitch
1/8/2008 12:39:35 PM
^
1/8/2008 12:44:54 PM
could i go up to the office and tell them to activate the internet and ill just set everything up.
1/8/2008 12:50:30 PM
i don't believe that they activate the internet part at your house if you already have cable, so i don't see why they wouldn't....other than them being incompentant jerks
1/8/2008 12:54:56 PM
see if you can do a self installsometimes they allow that
1/8/2008 12:55:27 PM
i believe they always allow that so long as they don't have to make any hard connections at the residencei did it recently, the house was already equipped with basic cable
1/8/2008 12:56:58 PM
yeah, we've TW cable and all.we are doing wireless, i already bought the router.so i have to pay for their modem and stuff?
1/8/2008 1:06:05 PM
the key is to get the contractor's phone # whenever he comes out (if he's a creep, this may not be a good idea) then, when you need service, call him directly, and he'll be out a hell of a lot quicker. They'll get paid more by helping you so they should be willing to do it. Thats why i have "Doug TWC" programmed into my phone
1/8/2008 1:07:07 PM
the only way you can self install is if you already have cableotherwise they have to send a tech out to make sure the signals are fine, run new lines if necessary, etc.

1/9/2008 11:48:17 AM
TWC in SC tried to tell me I couldn't put in my own wireless router without paying them an extra $5 or $10 a month for them LETTING me do that. I told them I had changed my mind then and would leave it wired.. hooked up wireless, works fine. Bastards.
