Now that's going to be a great battle.

One of them is lying, B
1/8/2008 2:26:36 AM
I'm guessing Clemens learned from Bonds not to lie to the government. Can't wait for him to testify and tell the truth, G
1/8/2008 2:47:39 AM
why is clemens still denying he juiced?
1/11/2008 1:36:02 PM
Clemens will just take the pussy way out and back off like he always does.Waaahhh, I can't get Mike Piazza out. Let me throw at his head instead of manning up and pitching to him and then blame it on the weather...
1/11/2008 1:37:56 PM
he'll plead the fifth.
1/11/2008 1:39:21 PM
that "phone call" sounded fake as hell to me
1/11/2008 1:48:37 PM
Like the two guys where standing in the room together yelling into a microphone? How could it be fake, what are they in cahoots? I love that word.
1/11/2008 1:55:16 PM
i dunno man, its just a feeling i got. Clemens was remarkeably calm on the phone for someone who either A) ratted his ass out or B) lied about him to the fedsI can't imagine having a conversation like that with my friend or anyone really. Either the thing is fake as hell or they both suck at conversation--lets put it that way.[Edited on January 11, 2008 at 2:01 PM. Reason : d]

it didn't sound fake, but it did a great deal to prove that Clemens is lying. the only reason McNamee would offer to go to jail is if he was going to refuse testimony and be held in contempt.[Edited on January 11, 2008 at 2:05 PM. Reason : Clemens was calm because his lawyer was feeding him words.]
1/11/2008 2:05:13 PM
Yeah I don't get what was fake. Clemens was calm because he knew it was being taped, McNamee wasn't calm because he didn't know it was being taped. If Clemen's was out of control he would have just come off sounding like a lunatic and then the tape would have been even more worthless then it pretty much is. To me it sounded very munipulated on Clemen's part, he was trying to get certain things out of McNamee without saying certain statements himself. It was all very vague, but certainly not fake. I don't think two men who are sueing each other are going to stage fake phone calls. This myth is busted.
1/11/2008 2:15:55 PM
they just said that mcnamee is avoiding being served. kinda interesting
1/11/2008 2:29:39 PM
so is mcnamee lying. i mean for clemens to deny it with all that proof means he's either INSANE or he truely believes he's not guilty. but for MLB to cosign the list they had to have been thinking about legal ramifications. no way they'd put him on the list.
1/11/2008 2:45:20 PM
The more info surfaces about this guy McNamee the more I think he is shady and did this for the publicity....time will tell.[Edited on January 11, 2008 at 3:35 PM. Reason : .]
1/11/2008 3:34:24 PM
everybody thought Canseco just wrote his book for publicity too]
1/11/2008 3:40:11 PM
good point.....but I still think McNamee is a little shady...
1/11/2008 3:41:13 PM
the whole sport of baseball is, but therefore it wouldnt surprise me if anybody was juicingi think clemens is guilty as shit, as well as many othershe might be shady, but i just think it looks too much like a spade for it not to be a spade
1/11/2008 3:42:04 PM
Hey I agree with you 100 %. I think 75 to 95 percent of players are or did juice it up. Baseball is kinda screwed up, but is still the best game in the world in my opinion.
1/11/2008 3:44:42 PM
its certainly a nice game to go to on a lazy evening in the summertime to drink a couple cold ones, eat some dogs, etci prefer basketball and football but its all goodanother interesting note, take it for what its worth, but i was listening to the packman show the other day, and he was talking about jose canseco, when he was in his studio before he even released the first book when everybody thought he was just trying to make money...apparently canseco told him that out of ALL the players in the rangers clubhouse when he was there, pretty much every one of them juiced in one way or another EXCEPT nolan ryan[Edited on January 11, 2008 at 3:47 PM. 1/11/2008 3:45:52 PM
I would have Nolan Ryan's babies
1/11/2008 4:23:30 PM
Nolan was farm strong
1/11/2008 4:24:36 PM
yeah he always did those Advil commercials for his sore shoulder and arm...i guess if he was juicing he wouldn't need Advilwtf 'nolan ryan advil' turns up nothing on youtube? was it alleve or something?[Edited on January 11, 2008 at 4:29 PM. Reason : .]
1/11/2008 4:28:36 PM
baseball will always be the best sport to see live. so they should either just legalise steroids or make it public of the users.
1/11/2008 4:36:13 PM
Yes Nolan Ryan was a true natural athlete. In fact I named my son after him. I always liked the name, but I truly respect him as an athlete.
1/11/2008 4:36:55 PM
Saying that McNamee is a shady character is an understatement. But at this point, it doesn't matter who is telling the truth and who isn't. Clemens is forever linked to steriods, there will always be skeptics either way. If McNamee is lieing he's already been right about a lot of other people.I give this whole thing a big "I don't give a shit."We are in the middle of what could potentially be some of the best rounds of playoff football in a long time, and this steriod shit needs to get the fuck out of here so I can enjoy that.

Agreed
