Works like a charm for me. Make sure you do *exactly* what it says on the package though

Get yourself a multivitamin and load up.

you have to use it BEFORE you're all the way sick.

well i wish i would have read these threads before i went to the store. You say it doesn't help very much if the cold is already peaking. Mine is in my throat, chest, nose but i used one of the gel swabs and am breathing better. My coughing has subdued, so we'll see. I'll keep it going for the recommended usage and if it doesn't work i'll save them for the next cold.

the zicam nasal gel always made me sneeze violently (several times) after applying and holding my nose

They have a chewable/dissolvable zicam as well that works, although it doesn't taste very good.

^ You mean that wax block kind? No thank you.
3/25/2008 2:31:58 PM
my mom swears by it, so i have been using it for 3 years and am completely and totally unconvinced. last time i got sick i tried the dissolve in your mouth ones which did not help my cold at all, but did make my mouth feel weirdly numb...........i called it quits after that
3/25/2008 2:35:16 PM
it doesn't work. psychosomatic. i tried 3 different kinds and nothing happened, but it's ok 'cause i never paid for it.it does increase your risk of nosebleeds though.the Cleveland study cited by the makers of zicam have been proven to be biased, so it's worthless.i guess if spending $11 makes you feel better, then do it, since it's better than nothing.

is zicam similar to airborne? because airborne is fake. well its real. but it doesn't prevent or cure colds. and there is a class action suit re: airborne, if anyone knows of anyone looking for a class action suit to get involved ini'm just sayin...
