by 30 half are divorced(and with kids).

My sister graduated from Chapel Hill, all soriority sisters got married a couple years after graduating, and most(not all) ended up getting a divorce....she was in most of the weddings.(that is pretty expensive)

I would imagine that is happening more to the people that are getting married because they fucked up.

I mean, you generally would imagine that a marriage in which two people mutually agree that they should get married out of love is going to last better than a marriage where one person demands they get married because if they don't her father is going to bash the fuck out of his skull for getting his daughter pregnant and trying to be a deadbeat...

No thx. School comes first, then job, house, cars, toys, and expensive hunting trips. Engagement can come whenever. I want a long engagement though. I don't want to get engaged and married in the same year.

^^^^^^^ i imagine that happens a lot to those people too. but say i went to four weddings this year and none of the couples were in that situation. statistically at least one of those marriages will end in a divorce. so while getting pregnant and then getting married as a result probably contributes, that is far from the only factor

We were married at 24. We figured that after being friends for 6 years and dating 4 of those years that we might as well say "I do." or go our separate ways. If you're an adult and you don't know that they're the right one after years of dating, they're not going to suddenly become "the one."
