List them.Basketball: 1st half against Presbyterian, who is 1-17 in their first year of Div 1 basketball. Shit, St. Johns in the first half on the road against a Big East team couldn't hold a candle to this utter embarrassment.I thought 1-17 was a typo on ACC Select... I wish that it was. Forget about Herb coaching... I think 5 Herb's (or 1.5 Sidney Lowe's) on the floor PLAYING would have done better.[Edited on January 5, 2008 at 3:17 PM. Reason : x]

We lost to Campbell during the Les era.
1/5/2008 3:17:23 PM
did you see our football team this year?
1/5/2008 3:18:08 PM
they didn't come CLOSE to what's going on right now.
1/5/2008 3:18:31 PM
^^^ at least we expected those teams to play JV middle school level basketball... this is supposedly one of our more talented teams in 20 years... apparently they'd rather be rubbing it out to Internet porn than playing for an ACC team..
1/5/2008 3:19:36 PM
I think we will always play like this when Hickson and Fells are only playing 11 mins in a half
1/5/2008 3:20:00 PM
st johns was definitely worse
1/5/2008 3:21:57 PM
our MSU performance was worse, and on national TV no less
1/5/2008 3:22:33 PM
no, it wasn't.
1/5/2008 3:23:26 PM
the maryland football game this year gets a vote from me. especially considering the circumstances.
1/5/2008 3:23:50 PM
1/5/2008 3:23:57 PM
it's like no one understand that we scored 17 points and are losing by 3 to the worst team in the country.
1/5/2008 3:24:24 PM
naw, there are 2 winless teams, and several 1 win teams
1/5/2008 3:26:12 PM
the loss to directional florida in reynolds
1/5/2008 3:26:51 PM
There are a lot.. this could end up being quite a long thread.
1/5/2008 5:54:42 PM
1-17 is a little bit misleading
1/5/2008 6:05:57 PM
WE LOST TO FUCKING NEW ORLEANS AT HOME
1/5/2008 6:12:15 PM
It's a toss-up between Les Robinson and Mike O'Cain
1/5/2008 6:13:14 PM
The football game vs Maryland this year. The football series against Baylor.
1/6/2008 11:24:38 AM
2003 football vs. UCONN almost made this list
1/6/2008 11:26:51 AM
My vote goes to St. John's where we scored 10 points in the first half
1/6/2008 11:45:58 AM
second half of the Maryland game in the ACC Tournament where we lost a 30-something point lead and lost the ballgame.I've never been so depressed in my entire life, although ^ was almost just as bad.[Edited on January 6, 2008 at 11:50 AM. Reason : ]

Let me remind you fucks talking about St. Johns from the Big East that we were playing a new D-1 school Presbyterian. Not some power conference team. This is the worst game I have ever witnessed at NCSU.
1/6/2008 11:57:49 AM
^ the reason I say St. John's is that I have come to realize that we have performances like these. The St. John's was just a wake up call to this realization. Granted, I did not watch either of these games, but still the WTF? factor was there.
1/6/2008 12:31:36 PM
We lost to Florida Atlantic when they were 1-19. I was there with about 3000 other people, quite possibly the lowest point of NC State basketball.
1/6/2008 12:36:10 PM
nothing in this thread comes close to
1/6/2008 12:43:45 PM
We lost to Tampa (a DIVISION II team) in the 80s...thats got to be right up there.
1/6/2008 1:27:14 PM
The Iowa game in Herb's last year.
1/6/2008 1:41:33 PM
^that was more painful to watch than this game definitely
1/6/2008 1:45:23 PM
I thought you all said it was just media bias for duke and unc that had them ranked higher and that State would be one of the two best teams in the ACC
1/6/2008 1:50:34 PM
i thought you said you weren't a troll
1/6/2008 1:51:59 PM
^^ and all this time I knew tennessee was another word for inbreeding
1/6/2008 1:53:44 PM
how is this trolling? I am simply asking what happened... all I heard was "no way we are middle of the pack in the acc, typical bias has duke and unc ranked 1 and 2, they arent that good"so what happened?could it be those "biased" experts weren't really biased, they were just right?^ sorry Mr. NYC. "Hey person from Mississippi, you are inbred!" - person from Alabama[Edited on January 6, 2008 at 1:57 PM. Reason : d]
1/6/2008 1:55:19 PM
i don't know anyone who said unc wasn't the best team in the acc -- i didn't think they were the best team in the country and i still don'tand i don't know anyone who said duke was much worse than the third-best team in the acc, most everyone had them at #2 or 3i also don't know anyone (who isn't a lame internet troll) who could have looked at how we performed at the end of last season and thought that with the addition of jj hickson we wouldn't be a top two or three team in the acc this seasoneither way, we haven't even started ACC play yet -- so it's a bit early to be jizzing all over yourself on the internet
1/6/2008 2:01:06 PM
^ sure State got Hickson, but the rest of the ACC didnt just stand pat either, they do recruit too you know... All I am saying is that everyone who was claiming the vast anti-State media conspiracy is what led to them not being ranked really high in the preseason need to eat some of that fucking crow now.
1/6/2008 2:06:25 PM
i honestly have no idea what the fuck you are talking aboutwe were picked to finish third in the conference (we just barely landed behind duke)i'd say that's pretty damn high[Edited on January 6, 2008 at 2:09 PM. Reason : ]
1/6/2008 2:08:09 PM
It is... but TONS of people on here were saying that we should be ahead of Duke, that it wasnt even close. And a lot of places had State anywhere from 5th to 8th and everyone went apeshit
1/6/2008 2:11:09 PM
here's the thingwe might still finish ahead of dukei'm not sure if you're aware, but the conference schedule has just begunwho gives a shit if we finish second or third?anything after first place is a disappointmentand they don't hang banners for regular season championshipsthis is by far one of your weaker trolling efforts--preseason rankings don't mean a damn thingand anyone who cries about media bias is fucking retard whose opinion doesn't mean anything to begin with[Edited on January 6, 2008 at 2:14 PM. Reason : ]
1/6/2008 2:13:33 PM
^ heres the thing, I never said they couldn't finish higher, they very well could... ALL I said is that State is playing at about the level that a lot of experts said they would this year, and when they said that the majority of irrational homers on here cried media bias over and over and over. So up to this point in the season, which is all we have to go on, the evil JFK assassination-level anti-State national media bias is correct and the homers are looking like idiots[Edited on January 6, 2008 at 2:19 PM. http://www.theacc.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/102107aab.htmlseriouslyi have no idea what the fuck you're talking about
1/6/2008 2:20:00 PM
Being down 23-0 at the half to Central Florida this year was pretty bad. Also, giving ECU their first ever win against an ACC basketball team.
1/6/2008 2:23:21 PM
1/6/2008 2:23:53 PM
i though we would finish ahead of dukei don't know what you mean by "it wouldn't even be close" -- no one thought duke would be in the cellar--
1/6/2008 2:26:31 PM
and I never said that Duke would be in the cellar...^ AND that poll had State below Duke which still proves what I am saying because they only claimed the media bias applied to Duke and Carolina.[Edited on January 6, 2008 at 2:30 PM. Reason : d]
1/6/2008 2:27:13 PM
1/6/2008 2:28:39 PM
oh really? they recruited zero huh? you sure about that? or do you mean they signed no one? so they have had no contact with anyone for next year yet?
1/6/2008 2:29:55 PM
yes, zerothey had no scholarships available
1/6/2008 2:30:18 PM
so that means they SIGNED no one... does not mean that they didnt recruit anyone. Something tells me that UNC has had SOME contact with potential recruits for next year... in fact, I know they have
1/6/2008 2:31:15 PM
no one was talking about next year, stop changing the discussion to fit your argumentthey recruited no one and signed no one for this seasonthey effectively stood pat, which is what he said
1/6/2008 2:32:34 PM
if they didn't formally sign anyone, then they didn't recruit anyone. That is, after all, the definition of recruit.
