seems like I've got a couple of really good base recipeshow does one go about adding things to a brownie?the swirled brownies, for examplethose are two different batters?
1/4/2008 3:41:21 PM
ive also made that brownie recipe before without the espresso and chips, and then mixed 1/4 cup confectionary sugar with 1cup of peanutbutter and topped it. It was like a reese cup brownie.another idea is to make a mounds bar like topping with marshmellow, coconut and butter (ill find that recipe in my book if you're interested).swirled brownies is usually a thicker separate batter, you drop it in teaspoons into the pan and then swirl it lightly with a knife. the marshmallow coconut thing sounds greatbut my gf is a chocolate junkieI'll have to try that recipe another time
1/4/2008 3:43:06 PM
it'd be cool if you made like a white chocolate brownie mix, and then a dark dark chocolate brownie mix, and then put them in the pan and swirled it.
1/4/2008 3:44:02 PM
cakelike brownies are useless. Bake a damn chocolate cake if you want cakelike. Fudgelike FTW. Brownies should be dense.
1/4/2008 3:45:13 PM
yeah... I'll have to see how much white chocolate I have leftits a bunch of Ghiradelli chips from the truffles we madeI should probably cannibalize truffles... chop them up and put them in the brownies
