I'm looking at this device here:http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?showAll=N&g=50900&i=469HO98AUX&tp=1672I am curious how this thing actually works and if it will work in my car. I meet the specifications listed under the installation guide, I think. It says it takes the place of a CD Changer, but I do not have a CD Changer, so I am trying to figure out how I would activate this input. The Input buttons that I have are AM, FM, and CD. Anyone have any experience with this?

this plugs in and takes the place of whatever would normally plug into the CD slot - if it's currently unused then you are fine - if however you have something plugged into that slot then you would have to pick between the 2 to use - then when you push the CD button it would activate the "aux" inputit sounds like the radio and cd player aren't integrated on the 98 accord and the cd player plugs into the radio so if you have a cd player in the car you won't be able to use this option

Doesnt sound like it will work. You need a radio that has the cd changer button on it . why not pull your radio out and see if you have the blue plug? 98 accord takes 3 minutes to pull the radio out. But unless you have a tape deck in there I doubt it works. http://www.autotoys.com/New_Tech/DIY_98/accord/accord.htm[Edited on January 4, 2008 at 3:32 PM. Reason : Make sure its a 14 pin one, not the bigger one that has the power/speaker inputs/outputs.]

My stereo doesn't look like that one at all. This is what I have:Except the middle button says CD/tape. Don't have a tape player, looks exactly like the picture. The reviews of this product says that it will work with any of the stereos that do not have the internal CD Changer, but I'm not sure this is true which is why I'm asking you guys.I plan on taking the stereo out this weekend to take a look and see if the 14 pin connector is there. If it is, I'm wondering how this device would be activated. Thanks for your help, anymore help would be appreciated.

so turns out that button actually does say CD/Tape CHG, so I believe it will be a port open in case a cd changer is installed. I went ahead and ordered the part so hopefully it will work out. I'll let you guys know how it turns out in case someone ever wants to go this route.

This thing end up working just as described. I have been able to plug an Ipod in, as well as Sirius Satelite radio via the audio input. Pretty sweet.

no, a place called myradiostore.com or something like that. It was cheaper there, same part though.
