doubtfulblues arose from call/response field songs which didnt really come about as a seperate art form uintil the late 19th century, and even then its tough to really tracxk since no one was interested in recording the black mans music. i posted the first jazz ensemble ever recorded and they were white. it wasnt until the white man began playing these songs that it became popular outside of new orleans/chicago.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blues
