Isn't there one in Chapanoke Square on S. Saunders? Beware though, Chinese grocery stores are as dirty as their restaurants if not worse.

Don't let them convince you to buy the cat!
1/3/2008 12:31:22 PM

1/3/2008 12:36:38 PM

so, i made pho last night. The stock took two days to make because i did it from scratch. Had leftovers, put them in the fridge. NOW the milk and ice tastes like star anise
1/8/2008 6:48:15 PM
you used star anise in pho??
1/8/2008 7:28:15 PM
the first time i saw powdered anise in the grocery store, i read it as powdered anus; then i showed it to my roommate and he read it as powdered ants
1/8/2008 7:30:23 PM
When i was in culinary school, we had a tub of star anise in dry storage that someone labeled "Star Anis"....which poorly written looked like "anus"i giggled every time i walked by it
