on a rental car? Or do you accept what they give you?

Geico (accident - not my fault) on the other hand is fighting tooth and nail not to give me an upgrade. I've told them that I do a majority of business in my car and that's it's required that I have someone comparable to what I'm currently driving.

They changed their tune after I told them that I was prepared to stay on the phone call day stating my case. Since they can't hang up on me, they upgraded me to a larger class car.

Why does it take so long to get what I deserve?

the only time I ever got an upgrade was when I ordered a midsized and they were out, so they tried to give me a compact. I'm 6'2" and I told them NO WAY am I driving that sardine can for a week. So they gave me a crown vic

I almost always get offered an upgrade when I rent - not from the insurance company but from the rental place. The Enterprise at Cary Auto Park is great for this, especially on weekends (most of their customers come from the dealership repair shops and they usually have a lot of cars sitting around all weekend).

My wife drives an SUV and when someone smashed into her car, they tried to put her in a piece of shit metro. I argued that she was in an SUV, and she wants an SUV as a rental, and they made it so.

i do love a free upgrade.

i just hate the way they claim that they can't do anything for me and then relent later.
