anyone ever been on a plane with a female pilot? im sitting at jfk waiting on a delayed flight just now when a woman walks by in a delta pilots jacket etc....maybe she's a copilot or something? im not versed in commercial airline regs but i cant imagine theres any restrictions on gender for the job, but ive never seen that before

One of the first routes I bid with United I ended up with a female Captain. No restrictions on gender, just the amount of hours you can fly in a given month, and its the same for both male and females. There is a pic of me and her as we are leaving Los Angeles a few months ago

Wanna bet? Everyone I know who has done it, about 4 people, have all hated it. Sure the free traveling is nice, and you get to go and see places you normally wouldn't, but you have to deal with some of the rudest, bitchiest people around. Compare it to working in a restaurant, but you are stuck with the same people no matter what for hours and hours, and you can't go anywhere.

free traveling was nice 10 years ago when it was actually expensive.

now flying non rev sucks you get stuck everywhere and the walmart crowd on planes etc.
