so i did my brakes yesterday and the drivers side font wheel had uneven wear, pretty hilarious uneven wear, the passenger side front was finei just want to make sure that the remedy for this is just cleaning out and greasing the bolts that the calipers slide

did the caliper slide freely when you took it off?

i couldnt tell because when i removed it i just pulled it apart without thinking about it

caliper frozen, or caliper flex. did you flush the fluid out after you changed the pads. did you only change the pads. resurface rotors?

for those pads they were new with new rotorsthats about 50,000 miles on them i greased up the slides and it moves well but it wants to drag just a bit im going to flush out all the lines tomorrow because its never been done

sometimes deteriorated rubber hoses will cause calipers to hold. I've had this problem on quite a few old vehicles.

if i may ask are these off a gm
12/29/2007 11:23:51 PM
i flushed them out yesterday and the bleeder had enough rust inside of it to completely clog it so i think that there is probably corrosion inside the caliper, but there wasnt a dust cap so who knows. i think im just going to replace it even though the car brakes fine and doesnt pull.a reman caliper for $70 bucks, cant beat that^ not a gm
