and to top it off, it will air on the NFL networkif they dont let everyone see this, i think we must riot in the streets VS

last I heard that was John Kerry's big project. To get them put at least this game on national TV. I'm sure he will fail though.[Edited on December 23, 2007 at 6:54 PM. Reason : .]

one of the pres canidates should take up this fightit would gain them alot of votes
12/23/2007 7:03:45 PM
i will be okay with george bush being elected over john kerry if kerry succeeds in making this a national broadcastnot
12/23/2007 9:15:24 PM
if you tell Kerry about it, he will support ittomorrow, he will oppose it
12/23/2007 11:28:05 PM
its pathetic how hard Brady and Moss are trying to break the records... forcing shit when already up against a horrible ass Dolphin team

NE 42NYG 13[Edited on December 24, 2007 at 1:07 AM. Reason : ^ manning threw 2 TD passes up 3 tds today]
12/24/2007 1:07:10 AM
1. he isnt going for a record, and hes had WRs and/or RBs out every damn gameand 2. he didnt do that10-7, Manning TD to make it 24-731-7, Manning TD to make it 38-7, so he threw one while up by 3TDs[Edited on December 24, 2007 at 1:21 AM. Reason : d]
12/24/2007 1:17:40 AM
At this point in 2004, manning had thrown all 49 of his TD passes, then he sat the next game out after like 2 passes.Brady only has 48 at this point. He also had more yards and a higher QB rating2004 Manning > 2007 Brady[Edited on December 24, 2007 at 1:51 AM. Reason : ]

i will laugh my ass off when the giants sit their players waiting for the playoffswhile the patriots start everyone for a meaningless game and throw in the 4th quarteri just hope we run it down their fucking throats all day longand i hope the fans make them regret coming the entire gameand 4th quarter broken legs for moss and brady would be nice as well
12/24/2007 3:13:47 PM
They are on ESPN interviewing people about hypothetical matchups between the Patriots and the greatest teams in football history, and of course the Patriots are coming out on top in all these hypothetical matchups.Hopefully this ends up like when they matched up USC against the best teams in history and it turned out they weren't even the best team in 2005/6

12/25/2007 3:45:37 PM
This will be the one time that I will cheer for the Pats.

^ soooo, the records do or do not matter? your lack of consistent logic is stunning. and what Brady and Moss were trying to do last week was a joke
12/26/2007 9:59:01 AM
12/26/2007 10:14:05 AM
2004 Manning<2004 Brady Who gives a fuck about the record, I do believe I'd rather have a shiny ring....
12/26/2007 10:23:20 AM
^ I see... so 2004 Kevin Faulk > Edgerrin James, Tomlinson, Steven Jackson.makes perfect sense.
12/26/2007 10:27:15 AM
It does, especially when you bring RB's into a QB comparison. Back to the discussion at hand....How about that Giant's secondary? Prediction: Matt Cassell second half stats....14-20, 225 yards, 3 touchdowns, 1 pickPats 41, G-Men 14
12/26/2007 10:40:08 AM
None of The Patriots give a damn about records. They care about wins.http://www.c-n.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071222/SPORTS01/712220385/1011
12/26/2007 10:46:14 AM
^^ so QBs are solely responsible for their teams wins and losses but a rb who fumbles 3 times in a game isnt... stunning. And just to think, all this time I had it in my head that football was team sport...^ nice try... but forcing the ball to a guy who was tripled covered when you were already up 21-0 to a team that had won one game was purely just stat padding[Edited on December 26, 2007 at 10:48 AM. 12/26/2007 10:46:39 AM
^ [canned "they were sending a message this season" argument]
12/26/2007 10:49:11 AM
I actually liked Brady and the Patriots before this season, they were a humble, hard working, "the whole is greater than the sum of the parts" type team... but thats gone now
12/26/2007 10:52:57 AM
i think anybody who has a shot at breaking a record should work as hard as possible to break it.manning sure did and once he passed Marino, he though "nobody is gonna even come close again"and he took a game offthats his own fault, his mistakenow brady needs to set the new bar and push others to beat it
12/26/2007 3:57:34 PM
^ what a dumb fucking statementfirst off, how can you even pretend to know that Manning thought "nobody is gonna even come close again", second, Manning didnt "try his hardest to break it", see the stats above concerning the number of pass attempts... third, Dungy decides who sits and who doesnt, he almost always sits his starters once there is nothing left to play for.jesus christ people[Edited on December 26, 2007 at 4:04 PM. Reason : d]
12/26/2007 4:02:46 PM
all this psychoanalysis is just so uselessthere is no such thing as "padding stats". Why dont the dolphins or whoever just play better defense?either way, it doesn't matter. It's not the Patriots problem they kick ass.
12/26/2007 4:05:35 PM
Giants won't even be playing this game... Absolutely no way they will play spoiler. And I think you want to come into the playoffs with the other teams knowing you intend to beat them by 30+ without mercy... that is badass and if you can do it: more power to ya.[Edited on December 26, 2007 at 4:06 PM. Reason : but Eagles should be in the playoffs instead of the lucky giants ]
12/26/2007 4:05:44 PM
As a Giants fan, i take the opinion they should try and play spoiler. They need positive momentum if they can get it - resting Eli and whoever else and losing 45-10 going into the playoffs isn't really the direction I would prefer. I favor sitting Plax and whoever else is battling nagging injuries but i think pretending this game does not exist is a poor poor choice

^ you are the dumbest son of a bitch I have ever seen
12/26/2007 4:36:20 PM
and obviously to give all the credit of these records to the qb is not too smartif its this close i'd say they're both equalim not gonna look at 49 vs 50 touchdowns and say one qb had a better season
12/26/2007 4:36:35 PM
12/26/2007 4:41:06 PM
brady 2007 statspass attempts 536TD's 48patriots 2007 statsrushing attempts 425rushing TD's 15manning 2004 statspass attemps 497TD's 49colts 2004 statsrushing attempts 427rushing TD's 10^obviously and brady could do the same but still has something to play for, if manning was hadn't eclipsed the record by the last game dont you think he would have played?[Edited on December 26, 2007 at 4:50 PM. 12/26/2007 4:48:31 PM
^ exactly... with the Patriots blowing out everyone their rushing attempts should be a LOT higer
12/26/2007 4:50:48 PM
this Saturday night will be one of the few times I will ever pull for Eli Manning to have a great game and win a game
12/26/2007 4:52:39 PM
^^it will be, still have 1 game left, so really my point is they're not that far offthe pats have both more rushing and passing attempts, about 1 games worthso all that means is that they were on offense more
12/26/2007 4:56:16 PM
12/26/2007 6:00:15 PM
Bryant Gumbel for everyone!good move by the NFL though
12/26/2007 6:05:58 PM
Yeah I just saw that also. I can see why its CBS bc its an AFC team at a NFC team. They usually get those games.
12/26/2007 6:06:06 PM
thank god they didnt lose against the dolphins or i woulda had to kill myself
12/26/2007 6:13:19 PM
damn shame they won
12/26/2007 6:18:31 PM
The Dolphins may be the most pathetic team ever assembled in pro sports history.
