didn't realize the zune software linked the "collection" to the actual files. tried to recover it with some r studio software... yea 120gb of music gone.

I mean if you had it on the 'Collection' tab then of course it's your real music

if your zune is plugged in and you're on the 'device' tab, that's just whats on the zune

In defense of large collections ... I generally only do full albums and make playlists out of that. I still like the idea of an "album", I still don't fully buy into the whole single track purchase unless it is only being used for a specific purpose. But as far as my general listening goes, I like to listen to the whole thing.

20gb is music is very low imo...i mean i guess if you only liked one genre it would be about normal, but multiple genres would be at least like 40gb imo

^yep and the songs/gb becomes exponetially smaller as your rip cds @ higher bit rates.
