i've done some low flying in a Jet Ranger (as a passenger), including some of those pops over treelines, but not as close as that dude is cutting it.

i'll try to find some videos of hardcore jet low-level action...

That's on the extreme end of low-level flying, but it's not unheard of, especially for the smaller helicopters.
