I turned in a blue card planning to graduate but it's looking like I might fall one class short, will they still call my name if I go to graduation..........I don't care if I have to wait until I complete the additional course to actually get my degree, just wondering if I'll be called at graduation

Yeah, they'll definitely call you. They'll also announce that you're not really graduating because you're a slacker and you're missing one class. And then everyone will laff.

It may depend on departmental policies, but if you turned in a blue card I believe you will be called. One example: I knew someone who walked during graduation and when called were handed what looked like a diploma folder. To their surprise, it actually had a piece of paper that basically said see the departmental office. Turns out that there was some paperwork miscommunication between the department and this person's faculty advisor or something. I had always wondered about that, like what if my advisor is telling me I have everything set but they made a mistake and instead I'm screwed. Anyway, I believe they got their diploma a few weeks later.Since your blue card is turned in, meaning your advisor signed it, if you haven't been notified yet by the departmental office that there is a problem, this may be what happens in your case.
