Is that the stuff with the little balls in it? I remember first time I drank one of them, I had no idea they had balls in them and gagged on my first sip.

if its main focus is bubble tea, it might be the shortest lived hillsborough street business of all time

and that ain't easy

I really, really think bubble tea is disgusting.
And a choking hazard.
And a terrible business strategy.

If you want good bubble tea, I guess any place will do.

If you want GREAT bubble tea, come to my house. $3 per 20 oz. cup. Seriously. Non of this powder formula crap that most places use. Juice concentrate baby. And real fruit pulp.

So if you like bubble tea, is it any good?

Grand Asia doesn't have a whole lot of flavors. If I'm lucky the place on hillsborough uses nesquick instead of ovaltine for the chocolate flavor.

^ second that! Had dinner there on Tuesday night. Nice bar set up, too.

I saw this Bubbles place on the hike... that location seems doomed though.

threads like this are what make tww #1 when you wanna see 1000 people come together and be assholes. hahaha.

i happen to have been to tons of taiwan happy new year parties and ive tried all sorts of wild shit. the first time, it was determined that "TRAVISA NO RIKEY BUBBRE TEA" -- but that shit was like honey flavored coffee, just too much at once. it actually got better for a couple times after that. i cant believe they made a store out of it in little ole raleigh, though. also, i dont hang out with the people from taiwan anymore. i'm in the international gambling society of laos. you can't go mixing your asians. i had to make a choice. i sold out.

which reminds me, BUY AN AD, dick!!1

I love bubble tea, but you can get it at Cup of Joe, and it's damn good there, so I don't see this business lasting very long. Strawberry, or green apple bubble tea, YUM!

^^ In the 2 times I've tried COJ's bubble tea they've screwed it up each time. They don't mix it properly and their tapioca balls were a funky texture compared to what I've gotten at another place. I think it came down to COJ's employees being lazy.
