- the college of textiles has a disproportionate percentage of the female student body
- global village is the only food place near campus you need to go to
- get involved, even tangentially, in student government through TGD. Can't vouch for other channels
What year are you, and what's your major?

I'll be going to UNCC. Military experience can transfer into credits much easier than at state. But State was the school I ran out of money at, which is the reason for me usually lurking here

Coming in as a biology major with a focus on microbiology, second semester sophomore

Can you then transfer your credits back to NCSU?

That's actually a very good question, and the answer (seems to be) yes. It's something I have thought about, because after inquiring about my readmission to State it seems it would be a very simple process. It'll basically be a matter of getting to UNCC and seeing how good their biology/micro program is

get as much hands on lab experience as possible - talk to your profs about getting a job helping them do research.

btw, thanks for serving the country.

Welcome back.

While UNCC may give you more credits b/c of your military experience, it still might be better to re-admit to NC State. I have nothing against UNCC and I don't mean to knock them, but it's the difference between receiving a degree from a school and program that is recognized nationally vs. getting one from a directional state college.
