cant cut metal1.) conductive2.) sometimes reflectiveand max thickness of one cut/ pass is abt 1/8" after that, you'll have to make multiple passes to cut thicker materials - i'm using basswoodI've etched stone and bricks before - pretty cool actuallyi hear a while back some kids cut things out of toast. the tech guys forbid food in the cutters now :-P ha

stone...that could be cool, but wouldnt it have to be quite pourous stone?it wouldnt cut it tho, simply etch it

^^ Joey Jenkins mentioned it to me a while back, but we never followed up on it. I'd have to look at the lasercutter PC's and software again.Nice to see that the system I wrote still works after I stopped working there, otherwise. I was pretty proud of it.

Not really, no. Besides, most lasercutters have safety features that prevent you from even having their cases open while they cut.
