While I was cleaning my car today, I was listening to my music. After I was done, I turned it off, but left the keys in the ignition. That was ~1130. I just tried to go to work, and the engine won't turn over. The first time, it just sounded like it was struggling, and I'd say it got ~3/4 of the way there. I tried again, and now it just wheezes, and stops after about two seconds. Having killed my battery last week i'm familiar with the sound of that. This doesn't sound at all like that. Did leaving my keys in 4.x hours do something to my alternator? Or is this just a new sound for my battery?]

were you listening to music in the car with the ignition turn on? was the car running or just the key turned? batt is dead

in the ignition on, its a farily high drain, you should use the acc position

You ran yer battery down. Had enough juice to kick the solenoid into gear, but not enough oomph to actually turn the engine, much less crank it up.When you flat-out kill a battery, you either get nothing or solenoid chatter as the solenoid energizes but without enough smack to actually solidly engage the contacts.
