i'm in the lab, but i want to be able to use my laptop bc it has software on it that i can't download onto the campus system bc it's too big.

yea, but they're not hot....i mean it doesn't even have to be the library, anywhere on main or centennial or any coffee shop, have live ethernet jacks i could plug into?

But only some of them work. I'm pretty sure it's the jacks along the wall by the elevators on the odd-numbered floors. I know on the 5th and 3rd that those work, because I used to use those with my old laptop.You *might* be able to use a port in the college of textile's library. Go to a computer that is wired, unplug the cable from the computer and into yours.

Go to the computer that it was plugged into, get the needed addresses and subnet masks, etc, etc. Put those on your computer, then try it.
